He has been a non factor this season. and after handling with kid gloves all through training camp, plays poorly in game 1 and then gets a tweak and sits after a partial game 2. Talk about overpay for underproduce. We havent missed a beat either.

maybe so, but he played very poorly the first game. No real debate there. The second game, made 3 tackles before leaving with a tweaked hamstring. LVE made 7 solos in 28 plays.

I might go so far as to speculate Lee’s release after this season should current trends continue. Put that in your pipe and tug on it .

I wouldn't go that far just yet. This defense has to prove that they that can at least be semi-competent in his absence before I'd even think about casting him aside. Remember last year as soon as he missed a couple of games the defense fell completely apart. They wen't from a middle of the pack defense to one that looked like the worst defense in the NFL.

His absence shined a bright light on Marinelli's limitations.

He's counting $11M against the cap this year and $10M next year, the last year on his current contract. im like Schmitty is with Byron Jones, I need to see some production.

It'd be a massive blow to Seattle if they're both out.

I was just thinking the same thing. Could it be that the league figures out any sort of small adjustments he makes going into the season by the early to middle part of the season causing this drop off?
