Why does a former NFL scout who probably can't get another job have all these outlets to talk about the draft and the Cowboys? He acts like he knows all. How when he was with the Cowboys he knew they were doing shit wrong and would tell Jerry. He loves to name drop, too. So annoying.

Assuming you mean Broaddus, right? Can't stand that dude.

I remember at the zzzone when he would send angry, almost threatening PMs to people who disagreed with him. He may have grown up some since then, but he's still a tool.

Let me guess you are talking about Broaddus?

Broaddus didnt have a good grade on Chuma so you know his scouting is suspect from the start.

What are the chances Chambliss jumps up to top 12 so it pushes another guy down to us?

I would never say never, though. You know how desperate teams can get for any QB who can barely function.

Someone could say look at Dart, this guy was about as good in the same system, and if you could do it over someone could take him in the top dozen.

I agree you'll see some of that start to come out around the combine. The Alabama QB I could see going in the first. But I just think the lack of playing experience is just such a red flag for me. But I think his coach dad talked to NFL people and was told first round.

It's kind of an interesting QB class though outside of the first round. It's easy to forget guys like Garrett Nussmeier who before the season was a possible first round pick. With Penn State's collapse I all but forgot about Drew Allar who physically had all the tools to make a push to be a top draft pick. Chambliss is this small school kid who went to Ole Miss and showed that he could be great on a bigger stage. Cade Klubnik is another name that was being tossed around as a first round QB in this draft until his team totally collapsed (See Penn State and Ole Miss). Carson Beck, another physically gifted guy who went from potential first round pick at Georgia, to dumpster fire, to sort of rehabbing himself at Miami.

And honestly there are more QBs to talk about after that. But the point is, it's a very interesting QB class. One that not that long ago was supposed to be a killer QB draft. And then all these guys sort of fell apart in their last years. If this teams didn't have so many defensive needs and no day two picks, I'd probably be talking about looking at one of these QBs in the fourth round.
