Great idea, let's switch around the schedule to ensure that Thursday night games are as meaningful as possible despite the fact that Thursday games are usually slop shows because teams aren't fresh and ready to play somewhere near their highest level. It'll be really awesome when division titles, playoff spots and homefield advantage are decided by these poorly played games.

But competitive balance and the integrity of the game doesn't matter of course, it's the ratings and revenue generated that's king.
