Faith Hill will no longer open “Sunday Night Football” on NBC.

The singer announced on Monday that the primetime pigskin broadcast will not begin with her rendition of “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” when it returns next fall.

“Amazing 2 have been part of SNF – an honor. I’ve just let everyone there know it’s time 2 let someone else rock the open,” tweeted Hill.

She added, “Difficult decision. Kinda emotional. Love all u guys at SNF – I’ll b watching!!!”

Hill provided the opening song for the last six years.
 
Too bad. I just hope they don't replace her with some hillbilly C&W person.
 
They need a pop star to do something like this and it wouldn't surprise me if Katy Perry ended up being the pick.

They had that on Ross Tucker's show this morning as a lead in song.
 
The song was great though...and so was Faith. It really is a memorable song. Compared to Cee Lo's theme song it is like the best song of all time.
 
Hell yeah those boots will be missed...and she always seemed on the verge of a crotch shot with those short skirts.

Don't even mention Cee Lo. They might have a crap singer(?) like that.
 
I think MNF did a different song for every game one time...it was terrible.

Now as far as I am concerned they can just use that orchestra music they have.
