Wouldn't read too much into it. McClay basically said guys who are squeeky clean they don't waste their interviews on during the combine.

But I also doubt that Dean is at the top of our list in the first. I just don't see us going undersized LBer that high in the draft. I also think after the combine Dean could fall a bit. I guess we will see on the numbers but reports are that they may not be very impressive for a guy his size. I don't think Dean is a freak athlete but I think he processes things at a freakish rate. He's basically going in the right direction before anyone else and that's really what makes him great.

I wonder if a team will try to convince themselves that he's a SS at the NFL level.

He's raw but has a skyhigh ceiling plus a nasty demeanor and the added bonus of potentially being able to develop into an LT.

I'd be fine with him in the 2nd, although I'd rather go Zion in the 1st and see what front 7 player drops to us in the 2nd.
