“When he’s gotten chances, if you remember the catches he’s made, they’ve been really impressive catches for a young guy,”
Did he catch them with his butt cheeks?

I actually think this very article is proof.... as if Wade ever would have said that they weren't getting enough from one of his guys. Escobar was a Garrett hand picked player and he is kinda calling him out here.
He is not calling him out in any way, shape or form.
Saying the guy is what we thought he would be is not "calling him out". There is nothing there that he has failed to meet any expectations.
All there was in that apologetic enabling mess was that well, we fucked up taking him, he's trying hard, it's a process.
This is correct. He was doing nothing but sunshine pumping, and there is no arguing that.
It is one thing to say he has not made an impact and leave it there. Parcells would have done that.
"He has he come in and made a huge impact to our football team, no. Next question." ~chewing ice~
That open-mouthed idiot loser would be shitting his pants the next day.
Garrett prefaced that saying "when we have given him chances". That is enabling that would make Wade Phillips smile.
It's somewhere in between. Wade would have been like "He's been everything we thought!!!"
Your gift for hyperbole is showing again.
And? So is everyone's who says he's just like Wade.
In this case, he is. He is an enabler who has a better way of presenting it.
I don't agree that he is, when he starts eliminating fines, refusing to bench players, saying the team is good as it is, etc, then he's on the same level.
I know you are tired of hearing it but saying "We have to get better" every week is actually a different message than "We're good enough."
He may not be much more effective with that message, but it is different.
Well, I wouldn't agree that it's not more effective, but.... at least let's be honest and admit it's different.

If "different" gets you the same results and you still apologize for it, then.....fuck off.

So, he's not identical to Wade, got it.
Glad we had to have a four page debate for people to get some sense.

“We’ll keep giving him chances. He’s growing and developing before our eyes. He’s getting better and better and better.”
