Cooper Rush just plays the game the right way.

Amazing. It’s the Garrett club. Any Cowboys castoff is a possible Giants signing

If you are ok with having him as your third QB, its probably worthwhile to have someone who knows the offense on the team.

Garrett needs his stooges on the team, and it makes sense for the team to throw their new OC a bone. Logically it makes sense... if you're Garrett.

It's just the optics are just so like the bullshit that continually happened here. I mean, Rush has no fucking talent.

Like walking crap such as Moore in a key backup role just because he's been known to fellate the OC on demand.

Backup QB is a huge role, and just because Jones is young doesn't mean he's going to be ultra-durable like Manning or Dak. You need your backup to be a good player!

If you want stooges, then hire more coaches who will be loyal to you. There's no roster limit or salary cap for assistants, and most importantly no potentially critical on the field role either.

Hilarious that they felt they had to sweeten the Cooper Rush deal to include guaranteed money. Do not let this resource get away.

Even funnier that they claimed him. They had zero incentive to do this, he couldn't have gone anywhere if he wanted to.

It's insane, but it's going to be a lot of fun watching Garrett fail miserably.

Flat out craziness and laziness on their part. They were undoubtedly talked into it by their ginger OC.

They could have easily grabbed a street free agent who would have been cheaper and very comparable talent wise. Also, they have Colt McCoy on the roster.....so they already have an experienced QB in the QB room. Definitely a strange move.

I watched that last night. It's been a long time since I've watched that game. Probably close to 20 years.

I completely forgot that Larry Brown made a huge INT in that game that practically put the game away.

Favre was carving up the Cowboys defense and was on a roll. Packers were down 31-27 and driving with about 8 minutes to play when Brown stepped in front of a WR to pick off the pass to snuff out the drive.

When you consider that big play coupled with the 2 INTs in the Super Bowl, it makes it a little more understandable why the Raiders handed him that large contract in 1996.

One can only assume that he's trying to somewhat recreate that Sean Payton-Tony Romo dynamic.

Heading into the 2006 offseason, Romo was the little used, little known QB who Payton tried to take with him to New Orleans. Maybe Garrett thinks this is his "2006 Romo" moment. :shrug

IDK, I'm just trying to read the tea leaves inside the clouded mind of a novice.

I remember they had to resign Romo prior to him actually playing, and instead of vet minimum or whatever they gave him actually way more than you'd guess a random undrafted free agent who hasn't played in 3 years would get. A lot of us were like, WTF?

We didn't have a recent 1st round QB on our roster though.

Romo showed alot more promise in the preseason than this shitbird Rush has ever shown.

I'll put it this way, this is is his 4th year in the league, we all know that's when Romo became the starter and took off, who in their right mind could ever think Rush has any chance of doing that?

I'm fairly sure the guy hasn't ever had a preseason performance that made people really stand up and take notice in 3 years, and that's with him being basically the unchallenged backup for at least a year or two.

The only thing more futile was trying to make something out Jameill Showers. He sucked as a QB? Make him a defensive back! :picard
