Redskins at Cowboys | Week 6 Game Day Chatter Thread | 10/13/2013

The thing about Escobar is what is his defining talent...he's tall, that's it. He is not fast or a great blocker...offers nothing that any late round TE could offer. Hanna is better...hell, Reed looks real good for the Skins.

What is Hanna doing? Fans are getting ahead of themselves with him. Think John Phillips.

Some are quicker to catch on. Escobar may not work out but my point Is he hasn't had enough exposure to label him a success or failure at this point. That's my take anyway.

I look at it as a failure from this aspect.

The last couple of years the mantra around Valley Ranch has been about how the window of opportunity is closing and how there is a sense of urgency because the key vets are aging.

Well if your window is closing, shouldn't you target players that can contribute immediately instead of taking a stab on someone who is 2 or 3 years away at best from being able to significantly contribute to the team?

Especially with your 2nd round pick.

I hope Escobar works out, but right now he really adds nothing that a scrub could offer. In todays NFL you need players to contribute right away. Maybe he will down the road, but I think it is legit to think about who else was on the board when he was selected.

I really wanted Warford, Lacy, Swearinger, and Brown there.

Robert Mathis has an awesome spin move. He and Freeney perfected that move.

That's something that Ware never picked up. I think he's tried it a few times but it's no where near as effective as Mathis and Freeney's.

SD's powder blues are on of the best unis in the NFL.

The only reason I'm tuning in to next week's MNF game is to get in a few laughs at the Giants' expense.

After Eli throws his first 2 INTs I'll check out.

The right side of the SD line is struggling so far.

The Colts are going to be good for a long time...they are always crisp.

7 kids...Damn Philip.

Might be time for a little snip-snip.

Warford is grading out as one of the best OGs in the league in Detroit and he wasn't even on our board. :lol
