The Cuts/Signings Thread...

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll called Fred Jackson's visit "not a signing."

It sounds like the Seahawks were merely kicking the tires/updating their emergency list. No. 2 back Robert Turbin is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, and F-Jax would be a readymade replacement were Turbin unavailable for Week 1.

I can't believe the people who get caught up in "name" players,

Phil Taylor has played 16 games once in his career and has averaged playing in 8 games the last 3 years and only played 5 last year.

Phil Taylor has had 50 total tackles in the last 3 years and 3 sacks, unless he is a veteran minimum guy why would you want him?

anyone who is suggesting we try out Trent Richardson hasn't been paying attention to how horrible he is. This would be up there with the Ryan Leaf signing

Dude, he played in the best conference in CFB at a high level. I'm told that's the main qualifier for succeeding at that position in the NFL. Duh!

Thats all I was asking for us to do.

I know right? Roll Tide and Stuff. This guy can still run for 2 yards a carry he must be a great goal line back

My Favorite thing this week so far has to be Ryan Clark saying on PTI "Trent Richardson is the worst running back of all time"

The Browns coaches have dedicated their lives to football and they deemed him worthy of a top pick. How dare you question their evaluation skills. Same thing for the Colts coaches and same for the Raiders.

I hope those 8 teams know that Jiggy does not understand how teams get caught up in name players.

That's the whole reason I posted it in this thread. Apparently there are 8 teams out there that are teh dumb.

I did say I would take at vet minimum so I fail to see how this has any bearing on that.

I never said he was useless just not some slam dunk answer.

But it's Carp who can never pass up a chance to get a dig in any no matter what.
