I used to live that show and even Hard Core Pawn but not anymore. Both are unbearably bad IMO.

I have a friend (ask Jane at True Value) who visited that pawn shop when they were filming and said it's basically all scripted. They had to keep doing re-takes because the bald guy kept messing up his lines when he was supposed to sound like an expert on the rare object.

I know all reality is basically scripted, but that just ruined the show for me.

I feel the same way about Pawn Stars.hearing how scripted it is basically ruins the show. Same thing happened to me with house hunters.
