I think this is a lot of it. Teams don't want to deal with that nonsense.

Amazing college football player, just not an NFL talent at QB.
 
How is this guy any different than Weinke, Wuerffel, Crouch, and Frazier?

They were all 'winners' too, and Wuerffel thumps a bible just as much.

Well, he did get inserted into an artificially made gimmick offense and lead his team to the playoffs because he was such a high pick.

So he's got that going for him.

The real issue is all of his groupies make signing him not worth the trade off.

I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't want him around if he accepted a role as a whatever through camp.

But not at the price of what the circus would be.
 
Tebow cannot play QB in the NFL. It just ain't gonna happen.
 
I think I would sign him. He is an athlete and I believe I could find a niche or him.
 
He is a distraction...he was last year with the Jets for sure. Not that Sanchez is some kind of great QB, but when a QB who is way less talented than you gets that kind of press and media love I'm sure it can wear you down. I think NE, SF, Bal...teams with strong coaches and leadership in place can make that work, but not every team can. He's not a QB either...that ship sailed awhile ago.
 
Deuce, our resident Tebow homer, has been awkwardly silent on this.
 
He probably could have some success in Sea too...Carroll can handle stuff like that and would use him in some running packages, but it is just not worth it to have to create a subset just for a 3rd strong QB/3rd string TE.
 
Tebow should become a professional wrestler. Ala Goldberg/John Bradshaw Layfield. An athletic guy that everyone loves or hates could put asses in the seats if he's willing to play the game.
