The Great Amigo Thread...

Damn. Even CrazyCowboy has sources.

Ever notice how these sources always have such glowing things to say?

I can deal with some guy like Crazy Cowboy making shit up to get some props.

At least he is not pathological about it and uses it to produce a fiefdom.

Hardy is his Sister's son.......

Who fuckin says that???

Why not just say...Hardy is my nephew?

The Latest Plans I Am Hearing Regarding Peterson

Hostile said:
No one believes Adrian Peterson is going to play in Minnesota this year. Former Vikings are even saying publicly that the team needs to dump him. As in forget trying to find a trade partner and move on. As of right now, Dallas is in that Camp. What Stephen Jones said is apparently how they feel. They are too good at drafting right now to give up draft picks. They would be willing to trade veterans players, but this is not a star for a star type trade. Dallas knows that Minnesota has to get rid of him. They know that as of right now, no other team has a new contract in principle with him. They know that what Minnesota is asking is higher than any team is willing to pay, meaning the Vikings are playing their cards wrong.

They are either going to have to lower their ransom demands, or blink.

If Dallas takes a RB in this Draft in the 1st or 2nd round Adrian Peterson is not going to be here. They will simply move on. I don't believe we will take a RB in round 1, which means Friday is the critical day. If Minnesota truly wants to get anything at all for him, they're going to have to make the move Friday, and it is probably going to be way less than what they hoped for.

Many of us have enjoyed the fiscally responsible new Dallas Cowboys. This is more evidence of it. They would love to have AD in this backfield as they make a run at a Super Bowl. They are not going to sell the future for him. It just isn't going to happen. If I had to guess, Minnesota will have to take a veteran player or a 3rd round or lower Draft pick. Otherwise I don't think it will happen.

Now, I could be reading things all wrong, but I don't think I am.

Ben Dogra quit talking. My guy who works in contracts isn't talking. The Vikings aren't talking. Adrian Peterson's Dad quit talking to a Vikings writer I reached out to who has gotten a lot of info from him. The silence means one very crucial thing to me, pressure is on Minnesota. They know they have to move on. No one showing the interest they want means they either have to try and placate Peterson by guaranteeing the rest of his contract (no way they do that), or doing what they do not want to do, paying a huge amount to a guy who doesn't want to be there.

The Vikings have no wiggle room.

30%?

That's a lot of words just to say "I have no fucking clue what's going to happen".

He's not heavy, he's my reliable source.

Funny how we now get this after reports are coming out that the Cowboys haven't even spoke with the Vikings about Peterson, and are showing no interest in acquiring him. Certainly not for the high draft picks that this dumb ass has been "reporting".

Their silence is deafening to be sure.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The backpedal express is in full motion.

Exactly.

NFLN and Yahoo both report this, and yet that loser is trying to pass it off as inside information.

I wish somebody would've asked him what his percentage of certainty was now. :art

In response to the Yahoo article saying we haven't even spoken to the Vikings about Peterson...

This is a fair and fantastic article that misses only one thing. Dallas does want Peterson, just not at a ransom. If the demands are reasonable, suddenly there could be fire making all the smoke. If not, the Cowboys are going to go to plan B which is move on with a rookie. But make no mistake about it, Dallas positioned itself perfectly to land him if they like the price. That's the key. If they like the price. They are still the number one plausible destination.

You watch. He's setting it up nicely to spin away from it if/when Peterson doesn't end up in Dallas. All he has to point out is where he's stated that every thing has been masterfully hush hush so if it didn't work out in Dallas' favor, there would be no fan repercussion or media shitstorm. And the idiots will lap it up like mana from heaven.

It would greatly influence my respect for this article if someone could tell me the last bit of news that Charles Robinson (the author) has ever broken.

I have yet to see any so I continue to take anything he writes with a huge grain of salt.

Yet they'll take everything Hostile says as gospel. Go figure.

So, if we don't get Peterson, we will get a RB somewhere in the draft. I'll be damned.

Be funny if Gordon, gurley and Coleman were available at #27 and don't draft any rb in the first 3 rounds. Then we don't get AP.

~headswing to hostile~

Yeah, that would be really funny if we don't get a RB.

Hilarious, even.

If Gurley is available and they don't take him, it's 2004 all over again for me.

~still pouring out a 40 for S.Jackson~

Still my worst draft day ever.

If we had Gurley or Gordon on the board at 27 and passed on him, I'd be pretty pissed.

GTFO with that draft talk. This is a Hostile/Own ridicule thread. Take your inconsequential opinions somewhere else where people can give them the proper snubbing and ridicule that they deserve.

Well, if someone could provide updates with more frequency, we wouldn't have idle hands. Blame yourself, Green Balloon...
