Cowboys sign RB Darren McFadden

Hopefully he fails his physical.

I know that's mean but I just feel this guy is a waste of time. We needed Spiller and a high draft pick.

spiller sucks too, not running styles but same type of player with injuries/being overhyped

This has Eddie George written all over it, so booze should be in favor like he was for that deal.

Archer is saying only 200k guaranteed now, so looks like you were right. This is not a bad contract at all. Very low risk, for what could be a high reward if he can stay healthy.

I agree that for what essentially equates to no guaranteed money they aren't going to get hurt by this signing. Not sure I see much chance that there "could be high reward". Anything is possible, but this guy is hurt every single year and has been terrible even when he plays.

The money is actually not the issue.

The risk is the complete waste of time and resources.

Dallas needs a proven veteran back AND a 1st or 2nd day RB in this strong RB draft. This turd makes Dallas think they've already addressed their veteran RB need when he's 95% going to be cut before the season.

Suppose Gurley somehow falls to Dallas in the 1st. It's the right long term value pick and probably makes a huge impact for years to come, but he won't contribute at all in September. A veteran back plus Randle and Williams address that risk.

Spiller or even Mathews would have been perfect.

Sure there could be high reward. He has had shit for an OL his entire time at Oakland. There is room for reward here if he stays healthy.

You don't know this. So, it's going to cost us a crap ton of time and resources having this guy at VR? Feh.

Fucking moron.

How is that guy employed by the league's official network as their primary insider?

He's not his replacement, dumbass. He's depth.

:lol

Exactly.

Rapaport is awful.

If I was that bad at my job, I wouldn't be employed anymore.

I don't mind this move provided we bring in another veteran RB to compete with McFadden.

Throw a couple of bucks at a retread and swing for the fences in the draft. That is what we are doing.

The risk is losing any chance at a guy like Spiller who could carry the load for long stretches if needed.

I'd rather we throw a couple of veteran reclamation projects back there, and draft almost entirely defense.

I would like that as well, but we can spare a pick on a RB...use them for 4 years, then reload again.
