Sabin - Sources: Cowboys have no knowledge of rumored video tape involving Bryant

So there was an incident and a video. Awesome. Can't wait to see how Goodell deals with this.

Even if what they claim happened actually did, you can't go retroactively punishing guys for stuff or you're opening a huge can of worms there.

Bryant has come a long way since then and hasn't gotten in any trouble at all in the last 2 years, so that has to count for something.

My guess is that a tape will be release to someone, but Bryant won't face any real punishment for it.

I agree that's how it should go, but we all know the Commish plays by his own rules. If something starts to get a massive negative spin like this situation, he's going to respond.

With all the shit hanging over his head after this disastrous year he just had, the last thing he should be doing as acting like the judge, jury, and executioner as he had before.

My guess is he won't be so quick to be publicly condemning people as he did before, but we'll see.

Not sure if he got pulled off or removed himself, but ultimately he was not involved in that process.

They are going to take their time now. Leveon Bell just recently got his suspension from the August incindent.

Actually there is still no mention of an actual video. The incident report with the officer made no mention of a video so that means the officer probably didn't even check into video surveillance of the parking lot.

I still think this is just someone jacking Dez around but doesn't actually have the video. They would have sold it to someone by now if they had the video. Reality is they probably don't have a video and were trying to get hush money by claiming that they did. Someone like Dez may have paid that. TMZ doesn't care, they would want the actual video.
 
So who is it that is asking for money? Dez seemed to imply it was someone close.

I'm kind of surprised this part of it hasn't been leaked. Some idiot lowlife running around with this video surely would have shot his mouth off to someone who would have shared that information.

Word is it happened at a Walmart parking lot showing a black male dragging a female from 1 white mercedes menz registered to Dez into a black cadillac escalade also registered to Dez. Police were called but when Dez later showed up later with the alleged female in a Bentley, the cops let them go. Story has some holes and doesn't seem like much of a story to me.

It says the NFL was already in possession of relevant evidence. That wouldn't be referring to the police report as that does nothing but confirm Dez and multiple of his cars arrived to the scene.

In no way does them being in possession of relevant evidence mean they have a video. Hell they didn't even say they are in possession of ALL relevant evidence. And yes, a police report would be considered relevant evidence to the NFL. It doesn't say that the relevant evidence confirms Dez beat up a woman.

That story could be as simple as Dez removing an unwanted passenger from one of his vechicles. What if the party took his Mercedes and he drove his Escalade to recover it then had to forceably removed the person from his Mercedes. That's just too vauge an account to indicate a real serious situation happened.

This is how I feel about it. If there were video it would have come out by now and it definitely would be in that police report.

Florio isn't wrong here. If a lot of the media were in on this months ago, wouldn't the Dallas beat guys be looking into this as well? Maybe they did, but getting pissy on twitter instead of just saying "I looked around and nothing surfaced" makes him look more incompetent.
