That nudges him into the top ten or so with guys like McCarthy. He was not exactly cheap before, the 11th highest paid coach in the NFL.

He did as good a job as anyone could expect with the group he had. What more can you ask? Of course he needs more talent. I've never bought into him being a miracle worker but he's a pretty good DC.

After last season and the additions and subtractions to the defense getting this defense to middle of the pack and causing quite a bit of turnovers was just about a miracle.

This is a huge deal.

Yea, this may not be a dream team of coaches, but as you said, it's working out pretty well for whatever reason. And after all the crap we've had to endure in recent years, I'm not about to break this apart when we finally appear to have put together a staff that's capable of quality coaching and making in-game adjustments......the latter which had been lacking for a long time.

Keep it together, bring in some talent, and go for broke before Romo's health gives out.

I wasn't terrified at the prospect of losing Marinelli but it's nice to have him back. Give me a couple of value signings and a few early round selections in the front 7 and we could have something nasty next year. I also basically trust whatever we do from a personnel perspective on that side of the ball as long as it has Marinelli's blessing, especially on the DL.
