Must See Movies

Big Hero 6 was pretty good. My teenager hated it, the littler one loved it.

Not at Pixar classic greatness level, but still pretty decent.

A Fish Called Wanda...did not get.

Then you just don't and won't get British humor, especially Python.

A lot of the best moments in that movie were actually making fun of Kevin Kline as Otto, who was the classic ugly American. He made that movie.

Since there's too many to count, I'll throw my top 10 out.

1. Dumb and Dumber
2. Anchorman
3. Ghostbusters
4. Caddyshack
5. Ace Venture: Pet Detective
6. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
7. Groundhog Day
8. Blazing Saddles
9. The Great Outdoors
10. Spaceballs

Stepbrothers would probably be 11.

Don't get the Spaceballs things. I guess it ties into latent Star Wars love, but it wasn't even the best Mel Brooks stuff.

Naked Gun's are good, but not great. I'd rather watch Hot Shots more than any of those.

This must be a generational thing where you don't get the spoof part and what it is going at.

Otherwise, I just have to conclude that well, you are a damn retard.

Saving Silverman...that is pretty funny.

I remember both EZ and sbk hounding me to watch that and I was like...uhhh, it was okay, I thought that Amanda Peet was repulsive and ruined the whole concept, fuck off.

Young Frankenstein is good, but overrated.

Man, you are really really poking the bear here.

I don't worship the movie, but if you are looking for a film to save from a fire, it comes well before fucking Hotshots.

And to continue my Deuce bashfest for the night...The Great Outdoors? WTF?

:lol

I dont remember them asking you to watch that but I do remember your Amanda Peet reaction.

I agree with Deuce here. The Great Outdoors before Young Frankenstein. See No Evil, Hear No Evil is better than Young Frankenstein if you're going with Gene Wilder flicks.

Hot Shots? Hot garbage though. Same for Naked Gun. That parody stuff, although amusing, doesn't stand up as an all time great comedy.

British humor is pretty much from satan.

Monty Python? For the gays.

My Hot Shots comment was solely related to Naked Gun. I don't think those 2 are great by any means.

Id also take the first two Scary Movies over them.

Scary Movie? :picard

I bet you remember the "nice beaver" and "strike...?" scenes from Naked Gun, I can't remember a single line or scene from Hot shots, just the image of the poster using a chicken as an arrow.

This.

I don't agree. Just the look of the film seems to be an improvement. Grittier instead of colorful and cartoony like Lucasfilm would do.

That might be, but to have Abrams lens flare it up like he did Star Trek is of no interest to me.

It is hilarious seeing the Star Wars geekdom picking apart every second of this trailer.

Honestly, it looked like an Abrams shit fest. But that is just me.

I don't think you really can gather much from it...it was cool to see the Millennium Falcon in some different terrain and the X-Fighters over water. Abrams respects the history of Star Wars...I have some hope for it.

Evidently some Star Wars geeks are aghast that there is more athletic stormtrooper these days.
