Archer: Cowboys' DL door not quite as revolving

Yeah. Rotational players are dime a dozen. The guys who can get the job done for a full year are the ones that can be a cornerstone. Nick Hayden's proved more in the NFL at this point than Brent. All Brent has is potential. His resume is very short.

So the fact that he was behind a pro bowl player means nothing?

Or the fact that when called to start he produced at an above average level?

Its only the fact that he has not started a complete season that trumps everything else, come on Clay you know this line of reasoning is absurd.

Using this logic Crawford is also a dime a dozen type.

Between this thread and wagging his finger at LT in the other, well Jiggy is on fire again.

Josh Brent was an average football player who somehow became better the longer he was away from the game. Amazing how that works.

The way Jiggy is acting, this is like getting Leon Lett back and stuff.

He is until he proves he isn't. There are a million players in NFL history who flashed a little talent and that was it. Willie Blade started at NT for the #1 defense in the NFL, even. How much did he really do? This guy is somewhere between Willie Blade and John Nix in career accomplishments. He has a long way to go before he's on Brandon Noble or Michael Myers' level. Does that put it in better perspective in terms of actual on the field production?

When have I ever said he was a great player or savior, way to muddy the waters.

People are acting like we are picking up Drake Nevis again and that's my issue, he is far from being a guy who has never done anything which was the root of this whole thing.

Michael Myers Really?

Lets just agree to disagree on this one.

Michael Myers started a full season for 2 teams, including the surprisingly good 2001 Cowboys. He lost his job to La'Roi Glover. So, he was, in your stupid words, "behind a pro bowler".

Ooooh.

My thing on Brent is simple.

Anything he provides is gravy.

If he is better than Hayden. Cool.

Otherwise, I am not even bothering to acknowledge the guy.
