Archer: Cowboys tidbits - Why Will Allen makes it

Whatever. I'm going to roll with the you got shatcanned for that 5.0 travesty. Don't fight it.

Uh oh, is that your bookie walking over here?

For your safety you should probably GTFO.

Just thinking about your well being.

I told you about that? Well, whatever. That was back in 2008. Pretty sure I'm good now.

Hey are you still playing on BO? Thinking about creating a new account. I changed my Email/password associated with my old account so I can't log in anymore.

I haven't played in a while. The whole having to use a Visa makes it tough for me to deposit.

For those wanting the Cowboys to cut Nate Livings, remember that his $1.7 million base salary this year is guaranteed. If they cut him and he signed with another team, the Cowboys would only owe him the difference between a potential new salary (likely the minimum) and the $1.7 million.

:lol

Another sterling contract by Goof Son.

Some of you have asked why Matt Johnson is ineligible to take part in this week’s rookie minicamp after not playing a snap as a rookie last year. Here’s why: he earned a pension credit. Ronald Leary didn’t earn that credit after spending most of the year on the practice squad before a late call-up to the active roster and therefore can practice this week.

:lol

Matt Johnson is leading a charmed life. A couple of practices and a year of pension credit. Life is good.

Allen probably makes it because he's cheap. He's on a bare bones, $900K contract.

If we want to see why we are in this mess, and yes, it is a mess considering we have guys like Lee, Spencer and Hatcher due to hit FA in 2014, look at what we are paying in dead money.

Goof Son is smooth.

Therefore, what you see on this roster right now is what you get. There are going to be no Eric Winstons, no Brandon Moores to ride in and save the day. If you see a good veteran hit the market, count us out of it. Don't even waste your time thinking we could sign the guy.

Yeppers, apparently the way the contract is structured it is not affordable to release him this year and pay out for a replacement. If you want to go with the potential positive side of the debacle, Free should be healthier this season and he will need to make a showing for his next employer.

It seems insane to keep him considering how much loathing people have for him, but unless you are doing it to get money back out of spite and not literally punishing yourself for a bad contract, it does not make fiscal sense.

From my primitive understanding, it costs as much to keep him as to cut him and then you are down a body. I don't think he's as bad as the likely guys to replace him...i.e. some of these schlubs we have at the bottom of the roster.

Pretty sure I hate this guy.

I don't.

Why would you hate him? Hate this morons who drafted a small school white safety and put all of their hopes into him....and continue to do so.

I think I hate him too.

Kind of makes you wonder when Jerry says he has "done more to impress" than anyone who has never practiced before. Makes you think he's doing something brown-nosey or even worse, unsavory.

I don't think he's done anything like that.

It doesn't take much to impress that imbecile, and it requires even less to get all the chances in the world if X player was a pet cat of the Jones family.

He presents the opportunity to look "smart" if he pans out, and players like that will get 9 lives on this team.

Shouldn't the dead money you are speaking of be coming off the books in those years that the guys you mentioned would be signing contracts? Or is that the dead money for 2014?

I didn't say my hatred wasn't misdirected. Nonetheless I know I will drop to the floor laughing insanely if either he or Austin injures his hamstring again.
