Exhibit #1 why you can't trust PFF.

Lets just say he's exceeded expectation. Which is the precise opposite of MoClaiborne.

Yep. He earned it. We had crappier CBs on the roster over him last year. We were just fortunate he was on the streets as long as he was and we could bring him back.

Sample size is too small. Cowboys haven't faced any great QB/WR combos this season so the results are probably exaggerated in the Cowboys' favor for now.

He had some good plays covering Jimmy Graham though, not a bad thing to have on the resume.

I really like him, but in Dallas you're not allowed to play the better player when Jerry's got a 1st round pick and $50 million contract locked in stone ahead on the depth chart.

Well, this is encouraging:

Would love to be full strength against Seattle, but if I had to pick one I would take McClain over Carter.

Well, it looks like McClain might just play but Carter is a week or two away.

Is that even debatable? Carter looks good sometimes but he also looks like complete shit at others.

He looked good the last 2 weeks, plus even in a game against the Rams where he struggled, he still made a big play in the passing game which is something he's doing more and more of.

That suggests to me that some things are starting to click for him.

Yeah, I pretty much agree. Carter has shown some good things this year. But we saw sunday that the defense could function without Carter, but when McClain went down everything went to shit. I know a few weeks ago McClain was out and Carter was in and we won but I think the defense needs McClains attitude and aggressiveness right now. He has become the leader of that group.

The Rams game absolutely abused him in coverage. I think part of the problem is Carter was playing the weakside LBer spot. Carter looks so much better when he is playing the strong side position. It requires far less in coverage and allows him to blitz a little which he is actually good at.

His speed and power jump out at you. He's the guy you want hitting Marshawn Lynch or Russell Wilson when he tries to run.

It's almost too good to be true that he's playing and actually thinking of settling in as a Cowboy.

@calvinwatkins Cowboys signed WR LaRon Byrd to practice squad. Tim Benford was released.
