Outlook for the team shitty? Hell, bring in someone to generate interest and contribute to "relevance". The "glitz and glamour" jokes will be incessant if he becomes a cowboy. Also the Village People gay cowboy jokes. Really a gold mine.

He makes sense from a football standpoint more than anything.
 
He had more sacks this preseason than most of our whole roster. I don't think this is a good idea though, he brings to much baggage. Be gay, be happy, whatever, he seems to carry a lot of drama. We don't need that, and don't have the people to put around him to handle it.

Yeah, for sure. They have no pass rushers so might as well give him a shot to be a specialist. But it will be a story and another reason to have camera crews at Valley Ranch. You know Jerry loves that.

Exactly.

If it weren't for the extra baggage, then this would be a no-brainer for a team that lacks quality defensive lineman and pass rushers.

Agreed. The guy made plays in the SEC and during the preseason and We're in desperate need of pass rushers.

He try's to knock balls out when hitting from the back side.
 
I bet he'll lead the league in the strips and sacks categories.
 
Penetrating into the backfield is one of his strengths.

We have basically no REs on the roster except Lawrence on IR. I'd say Michael Sam should be more then welcomed on our practice squad. I think he has plenty of talent to be playing on someones 53 man roster in fact. I don't think teams are necessarily shying away from him because he is gay, I think they are shying away from him because of the media attention and media whoring that goes on around Sam. Part of which I think Michael Sam is responsible for. Jerry has the same issues with media whoring so he will probably embrace it.
 
The Chanel Cowboys has a nicer ring to it now.
