At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US

So, what's your stand on the 4th Amendment? Why do we need it if you have nothing to hide?

I don't see where search and seizure has anything to do with monitoring for national security interests.

The 4th amendment as it applies to me is whether I have anything to hide or not, I can force due process. Simple as that. I will not forfeit it if I don't go screwing into things that will compromise my right to exercise it.

If they can have access to all of your information, why not give them access to all of your stuff too?

Maybe you'll just get cancer from inhaling aromatic hydrocarbons all the time. :art

You're wishing cancer on me? Well, now. That's not very nice.

Think I'll call in an anonymous tip to your address. See if we can't get a no knock greeting for you to straighten out your attitude a little.

Is that supposed to be a suggestion or is it sarcasm?

I think it is a legit question. You are fine being recorded, you are fine with your conversations being archived, you are fine with any government official listening and going through those records for any reason he wants...

After giving all that up, why can't they go through your closet? You have nothing to hide and you feel you needed to be protected from those who do. Why shouldn't cops go through your house regularly, just in case?

It's not even close to being the same. There is no physical presence in scenario 1. The idea that these two thoughts are congruent is an unreasonable stretch.

I am with LT Fan about prohibition. It's astonishing to see how drunk driving is tolerated.

I'm for legalization of marijuana and prohibition of alcohol.

Why is alcohol legal but marijuana (mostly) isn't?

It's hypocritical just like those who think drugs should be illegal. Prohibition doesn't work and we have two very good examples of who badly prohibition works. It just creates criminals.

Yeah, no way prohibition ever happens again.

I'm just ready for Texas to legalize marijuana. I could go for some BC right now.

If they get medical MJ in this state I'm getting a prescription and never drinking again.

I know I'm on the watch list.

At this point, it's a badge of honor to be on the watch list. If you aren't, you're probably a buffoonish simpleton watching Dancing with the Stars.

I cancelled cable several months ago. TV is garbage now. I just watch Netflix.
