Strong, mauling interior OL in the run game. Lacks ideal mobility and can be slow getting out to second-level at times. But a smart, crafty run blocker with good initial quickness off the ball. Does an excellent job with first step angles as a reach and scoop blocker. Has quick, strong hands and is crafty with hand placement/usage (gets away with a lot of clutching and grabbing of DL because of his inside placement). Has enough upper body strength (21 reps of 225) to lock out and the lower-body strength to drive defenders off the line.

I like, now follow it with Short/Elam please.

Yeah, well, Elam is gone already, he went to Baltimore.

But I agree, Frederick's speed and athleticism problems are overrated.

Eh, come on, I don't think that he's going to be running 40 yards for us very often.

One of the positions I don't give a shit about a forty time? Center. Why you would change a centers grade after a forty time is beyond me. The guy was a beast on film and he was one of the players I really liked in the draft. I thought he would go in the second, but as quickly as O-lineman were going I don't know if Fredrick makes it to our second rounder.

I didn't say who I thought. Maybe unanimous is a better word than consensus. Ourlads had him at #2.

My larger point was that he wasn't ranked as a 1st rounder by many if at all.

Geno Smith isn't returning for tomorrow and declined on-air interview.

Maybe that pouting attitude is why he slipped.

That's what I was thinking. I hope he goes undrafted. Little bitch.

Can't believe we've gotten to the point where being desperate for an upgrade over Costa means thrilled with a 1st round reach.

Oh well, par for the course. Not like this team is going anywhere anyways. Most exciting part of this season will be the Jason Garrett countdown.

I'm just glad to have a truly powerful O-lineman. Someone that can anchor and not give an inch against the pass rush and can get some movement for the running game.

When asked if the Cowboys considered Sharrif Floyd at #18, Jerruh responded with: "We consider DL a strength and would more covet a quick-twitch, 3-technique DL which Sharrif is not."

Sounds like they think he can play guard..ha ha. Costa it is then.

He can easily play either of those positions. Costa will get hurt and I'm guessing Fredrick will be forced to play there as a result regardless.

I'm not thrilled with the pick. I think most if not all of us would have gone in a different direction, but on a scale of fucked up Jerry decisions it appears it could have been much worse. Nothing to be overjoyed with but if Frederick can play it's something we should be able to live with.

Wisconsin players don't make mistakes very often. One of the least penalized teams in college football last year. The team needs more disciplined players like this. Would have rather gotten him later, but I don't know who I'd have preferred we take other than maybe Elam.
