Machota: Dallas Cowboys hoping to avoid hamstring injuries by...

I think maybe you're not understanding that movements IS stretching. Unless I'm the one misunderstanding what he is saying.

So, you don't think any actual stretching at all should happen?

Dynamic stretching incorporates movements that achieve the goal. Again dynamic movements are a form of stretching and slowly building to a warm, loose state.

I'm seriously not trying to be a dick but do you have any idea what I'm taking about? What I'm saying is what pretty much all of the new stuff agrees with. 90% of the high school, pro and colleges are on board with this. That is why is was shocked to find out that Garrett still lets the player do static stretching.

Again, I ask, you don't think any actual stretching exercises are needed? I know that jogging is a form of stretching, but I'm talking about actual stretching exercises.

I disagree with some of that. Absolute no reason to cool down when you are about to start a game or workout. Why would you do that?

Seriously though. Dynamic stretching is the only way.
I am talking about conditioning not pre game.

The term is dynamic stretching. So yes, I do. Dynamic stretching IS stretching. Sonofa, I feel like we are taking two different languages but we aren't. If you knew what dynamic stretching was then we wouldn't even need to have this conversation.

Dynamic stretching is movements that build up to a combination of warning and stretching. It is just not done while static. YouTube dynamic football stretching.

If you want to eliminate (or at least dramatically reduce) the instances of muscle pulls take up swimming. You don't even really have to swim, just hold the side of the pool and kick your legs.

If you just want to reduce, cut down on pulled pork. :art

I have a feeling something like high ankle sprains will replace hamstring injuries and next season we will be doing Zumba.
