We traded down to SF's spot thinking there are going to be a buttload of teams looking to trade up into the first for QB.

This is a trader Jerry draft.

And we know how those turn out.
 
I just made a business decision. I'm not staying awake to see our pick at 31.
 
Eagles, Giants and probably the Redskins with their 2nd rounder will be better than what we get at 31.
 
74 isn't terrible compensation for the move down. I just think Floyd's a quality DT that would've been great in our scheme.
 
Look at this trade and look at what we gave up for Claiborne.

To be fair, that could be a prime spot to steal more picks.

Which we really need. Let's face it... once Warmack, Cooper and Richardson were gone, it was down to leftovers anyway. Cutting bait and turning this into a quantity draft could be a good idea.
 
Jerruh's changing his draft strategy on the fly...back to fortifying special teams.
 
Based on the draft value chart, we got absolutely raped on that trade. 900 pts for 710 pts.
