George: Cowboys have serious interest in Chicago Bears free agent DT Henry Melton

Source: DT Henry Melton is still in the Seattle-area, as of this early morning. At this time, the plan is for Melton to still visit the Cowboys.. if a deal doesn't get "finalized" with the Seahawks. The situation remains fluid as of now though.

Before free agency I was sure we would have a better DL going into next season. Now not so sure. Guess we really believe Crawford is our savior.

Yeah, I hate to be that desperate.

They should have just put a full press on this guy if that is who they wanted in the first place from the minute FA hit.

Now he has the parameters of two deals from Minny and Seattle that he can just use to bend Jerry over.

Since Marinelli apparently runs the team, I'm sure he told Jerruh what Melton is worth. Say what you want about Jerruh, he doesn't usually drag his feet if he really wants someone.

That's what's funny about this. Who died and made Rod Marinelli God?

Even Mincey was basically saying he's a Cowboy because Marinelli tried to recruit him for the Bears the last time he was in free agency and he ended up "pushing to get me this time".
