As most of you know, we have had a site tradition for years to do a mock draft with the membership acting as GMs for the respective teams.

This thread is to gauge interest...not to sign up, as there has been some debate amongst the staff whether to do it or not.

We have had every intention of doing one, but we want to do it right. Or not at all.

Running one of these is a tough task. It is frustrating for those who take it seriously to get excited and put in the work, only to have a slacker ruin the integrity because they did not do the right thing and live up to their end of the bargain.

A lot depends on you, as a prospective participant.

Sound off if you want the tradition to continue...and above all, if you can be reliable for participating.

Please feel free to share your availability to participate and suggestions to ensure it is as much fun as it can be.

I'm in. played all but 1 of my picks last year because of work. Shouldn't be an issue this year.

Of course, I'm down. But, as you said, we need solid commitments from people or I'm not exactly keen on wasting 3 days at work waiting on people that don't show up or send in lists.

I am the first to tell you (as I have stated in the past) I do not put in the research time so I don't participate. It's an interesting read though.

There are plenty of resources to pick on the fly if you don't put in the lead work.

Listen to Iamtdg...he is known for his keen insight on players not even in the draft.

Exactly! If I can kinda do it, anyone can.

Thank you but that requires a certain amount of prep work and I am in and out so much I just don't have the inclination to get involved. Most of you guys do a lot of this stuff while you are at work and the irony is that I am retired and have no fixed schedule so in essence I have less time. If I get a whim to do something or go somewhere or even decide to play a round of golf, I do it. I just wouldn't discipline myself the sit down and read the resources.

Fair enough. That's kind of the deal. If you don't think you can or want to do it 100%, don't join up.

Okay, so LT is out. At least we know Bart Starr won't be drafted early.

Just giving LT shit, but yeah I agree, if you know you won't be able to make it or at least send in a list, don't sign up.

I'm in

This sucks. I saw 16 responses and thought we had a good early turnout and it's mostly comments.
