2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

I don't know guys.... How can anyone not be alarmed by this?

On one hand, you've got a guy in Barham who clearly is tuning out his coach.

Barham isn't some 10 year vet, he's a rookie FFS! And I don't know what mistakes he made in that game, but what I did see on that last scoring drive was his lackadaisical effort and that is totally unacceptable.

So if he can't take criticism for that piss-poor effort he gave, (assuming that's what they were talking about) then that's a red flag about him.

And what does it say about Parker that he can't even command the respect of a rookie linebacker?

This to me looks bad all around.
Ace, there are probably half a dozen or more moments like this in every tough football game

Men at their limit of endurance don’t want to hear anything like criticism and coaches don’t always reach their players in small moments.

I think Parker’s real success will be measured in how the entire defense responds over the long haul and improves, and not in little cherry-picked video snippets

BTW, I got no audio from that clip?

The dude looks like he was crying. I think this has more to do with the guy feeling like he just cost his team the game and less like a player who doesn't want to listen to what his coach has to say.

I think some people are reading this totally wrong.

I'd rather see that than what we saw from that assclown Mike Jenkins back in 2010.

Yeah what would piss me off is if he was yucking it up on the sidelines, giggling and having a good old time.

Anyway, I hope to see a monster game out of him against the Redskins. It would be great to see a LBer on this team stand out for good reasons for once.

This is why I said I have no worries about it as an isolated incident. He looked like he was pissed at himself and just wanted to be left alone right at that moment. If it had been a problem in camp (like Chapo said) we would most likely know about it by now. Currently, it's a non-issue to me, outside of me liking him even more for holding himself accountable. That kind of attitude makes for very successful people.

Wouldn't be surprised if lackadaisical stuff like this is why they're so hesitant (or even refuse) to give him a huge deal.
Yeah, you just can't win with guys like that.

Awful effort blocking. Giving away plays.

I'm guessing he'll be told to put his mouthpiece in his cunt mouth every play next game and all will be well.

How does no one on the coaching staff pick up on the mouthpiece thing and correct it?

He just ignore them?

Makes me wonder if he was dropping passes on purpose now with effort like that.

Less worried about the mouthpiece thing than simply not blocking on a running play. With the way runs cut back to anywhere on the field, it’s pretty imperative to not take plays off even if you think the running back won’t be coming your way.
