We've been without power and water for a few days now.

Amazing how great a warm shower can be after fighting the conditions and 1/2" of ice.

You guys really should consider pulling your balls out of the little velvet purses you carry them in. Just try not to chip a nail while doing so.

I've lived down here for 25 years and have never seen an ice build-up like this.

Up north the trees are used to the yearly culling, but these trees haven't been subjected to ice for a long time. I live about a mile from my job and there were 30+ pines and hardwoods across the road in just that stretch.

We've had all the big trees removed around our yard, but I sat up Wednesday listening to them snapping all over town. About every 2 or 3 seconds another would fall.

As an aside, only whiskey goes in my little velvet purse.
