This has been one helluva year for my family. My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer this morning. It was discovered during a coloscopy. The doc said he is positive one of the two tumors found is cancerous and malignant. They will do a biopsy on them to see how aggressive it is. I'm just hoping beyond hope it is slow developing and will be gone when they remove the tumors.
Thank you. I'm glad your mom beat the odds. That's awesome. I will keep my fingers crossed my dad does the same.Sorry to hear that. Best wishes.
On a positive note, my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer about 10 years ago. They removed part of her colon and she's been completely fine since.

Thanks, brother. Been a shitty 8 months for my pop. Just got off the phone with him and he was in good spirits. So, he's not letting it get him down. Matter of fact, I sold him an auto insurance policy. Nothing gets my dad in a better mood than saving money.I'm so sorry, bro. Praying for your dad and your family.

I just saw a guy pissing in the park again.

Public etiquette has loosened for everyone—straight, gay, or otherwise. Some celebrate this as liberation. Others see it as coarsening of shared spaces and loss of restraint that once made diverse groups coexist more smoothly. Both observations contain truth. Expecting a return to stricter mid-20th-century norms in a diverse park is unrealistic without massive cultural reversal. Expecting zero negative reaction to overt behavior is also unrealistic; humans aren’t blank slates.
Focus on what you control: your responses, your environment where possible, your relationships, and your own conduct. Strong aversion worth exploring with a therapist if it generalizes or disrupts daily life. Channeling energy into building the kind of community or family life you prefer is usually more productive than fixating on strangers kissing. Most people—gay or straight—aren’t kissing in parks repeatedly; the ones who do stand out precisely because it’s still relatively uncommon.
Live your values without needing the world to validate them in every public moment. That applies symmetrically: the couple doesn’t need your approval either.
