We actually are fairly well prepared since we get a fair bit of snow. South, East and Central Texas not so much.

While true, it would also be helpful if the idiots would realize they can no longer drive 75 mph. ONE inch of snow and ice shouldn't shut down entire cities.

Pretty much...people were freaking in Atl when there was 2 inches of snow on the road and they were even cancelling flights. Seemed a bit much.

Lubbock usually shuts down about the 4-5 inch mark unless there is heavy ice.
 
Although, it did shut down once because of temperature. It was like -20 wind chill. That's the only time I can remember it shutting down due to temps.

It's no different than what managers do in the corporate workplace.

Give the impression that you're doing important stuff, or worse, take credit for an idea or work that someone else did, and chances are you'll impress the right people.

I've worked for and with incompetent people who climbed up the ladder simply by doing what I just described.

I actually think she has a prettier face without the makeup.

Most women obviously look different with makeup, but she almost looks like an entirely new person and I don't necessarily think that's a good thing in this case.
