That's one of the words that I lost when I moved to Texas from the Midwest. Growing up in Illinois everyone said pop but when I got down to Texas people look at you like you're some sort of foreigner if you say that (actually they probably do consider anyone who says pop a "foreigner"), so I started saying soda instead and pop has almost completely vanished from my vocabulary. That is one of the only changes though. For instance, I've been in Texas for > 15 years now and I still don't say y'all. That was definitely a conscious decision.

Yeah, when I was in Texas I called it soda, too. Now that I'm back home, it was just easy to fall back in to calling it pop. My wife and kids still call it soda, and I always correct them. Not that I really give a shit, but it annoys the piss out of my wife. :art

Texans view a lot of people like foreigners. After all, Texas is the greatest country in North America. :towel
 
Looks like this snow/ice storm is hitting the Carolinas pretty hard. Closed our facility at work at 10:30 AM and this shit isn't going to go away any time soon.

Just hoping it doesn't turn to freezing rain and knock out power. That would suck total ass.
