Random Politics Stuff Thread...

Oh, the Marxists are gonna hate that. You mean "privilege" doesn't really matter?

But really, this has been known forever. These achievement type coaches and success lecturers were saying 35 years ago (and I'm sure ages before that) that the most important thing is time perspective. Do you make decisions based on what benefits you in the next ten minutes -- or ten seconds -- or the next ten+ years, even decades?

It is a shame that it isn't taught, though. But then we have a whole education thread for that.
Delayed gratification has been the secret to success since man has walked the earth. Not exactly a groundbreaking epiphany.

Republicans: Vote for us or the extreme Left will take over!

I can’t see it. Fuck, I hate that.

Well said. It needs to be repeated a million times over.

To be fair, she has a point, but I’m against requiring identification to exercise any Constitutional right. It kinda undermines and defeats the purpose.

Requiring ID to vote undermines and defeats the purpose of voting?

I have one rule for every election: vote out the incumbent.
Terrible rule.

So, just for arguments sake lets say President Whoever of the republican party wins the election in '28. Does a respectable job and runs again in '32. And this is the year that AOC wins the nomination for the dems. You'd want her to win? No fucking thanks.

Really?

And, just so I can stay ahead of Genghis "Acksually"" Khan:

Verification: Official FEC filings confirm these exact figures, with the RNC building a record cash reserve throughout 2025-2026 while the DNC carries ongoing debt from prior shortfalls and loans.

I’m not saying that they be replaced with a member of the opposite party. They can be removed via primary or with a third party candidate. In general, there are so few appreciable differences between Republicans and Democrats when it comes to taxes and gun laws that they’re damn near identical in my eyes. Democrats are obsessed with raising taxes and trying to take guns away, and Republicans are more than willing to do nothing about it. So, fuck em both.
