2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

The other school of thought is feed the three every camp snap for evaluation purposes. My fear is that they recall the brief glimpses of Davis and even Blue later in the year and think they are all good. When Williams go nicked up last year we saw poor results overall save those flashes.

If it isn’t Chubb, guys like Kamara may also shake loose. 365-24-7 just like Goof Son says.
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to add a veteran before camp … add a little more competition to the RB mix

Barring serious injury I think we'll win the division.
I think it's possible, but the defense will experience growing pains. This schedule is tough. We have supposedly 'lighter' games vs the Cardinals (who still whipped us last year), Titans, Saints, Jaguars, 2xCommanders and 2xGiants, and those division games could surprise you. Some of these teams will be much better than they were in 2025. Suppose we go 6-2.

The remaining 9 games are vs strong competition-- Ravens, 49ers, 2x Eagles, Rams, Packers, Colts, Texans, and Bucs. 5-4 here would be the minimum to make the playoffs.

Seriously, it's fucking strange.

The Green Bay game is in October, when the weather might be perfect, and every game after October is in a dome of some kind except for the finale at Washington.

Anything can happen but I'd have us as the favorite currently.

Not by a huge margin but I'd give us probably about a 50% chance, the Eagles about 25%, Skins around 20% and Giants around 5%.

I don't know if I agree but they should be. The NFL should desire the most popular franchise to win games and be in games as long as possible. It leads to the most revenue and success of the league.

It's the least they can do when we have to travel so far for away games within our division. The other 3 teams are within 200 miles of each other, and we have to travel halfway across the fucking country.

At least that goes both ways. Those same teams have to travel that distance for their games against us as well.

But when they play each other, they have a very short distance. That's 2 out of 3 games that they only have to travel no more than 200 miles.

Sure but we get 3 games where our opponent has to travel a long distance before playing us. While we have 3 games we have to travel a long distance for. I don't know that I buy there is some cumulative effect. But I guess it would be interesting to see how teams that had to travel the furthest over a season compare to team that had the shortest distance traveled. Because I agree if you're looking at it from the Giants perspective they have less miles to travel.

The 49ers almost always travel the most and they have the worst by a lot in 2026, traveling to both Mexico and Australia. Their Australia opponent, the Rams, are second.

The average is 19k miles and the 49ers travel 38k miles in 2026. Dallas travels 28k
