As the dad of one of these special individuals I can confirm. Routine is paramount to her mental health. She eats lunch at 11. She eats supper at 5. She eats her evening snack at 7:10. Period. Now, if she breaks the schedule it's okay to her. But, if an external factor messes with it then it is a serious issue to her. I really wish I could meet this dude and shake his hand. We need way more of this in the world. Not just with special needs people, but all across the spectrum of humanity. Just be a good human being. It's not hard and it's usually free.
