"Stop it!"

This is the dumbest reason ever invented to call this voter suppression. Even dumber than "black people are too dumb and poor" to get an ID. Not as racist, but still more idiotic.

Don't feel bad. I don't either. But, she said she was rich and famous, so I took her at her word.

I asked Grok. Apparently her big role was in the hunger games which I never saw. She was also in a bunch of other stuff like 40 Year Old Virgin, Spiderman, and Invincible.

She was in some pretty big movies at the time. Not a lot recently but in the early 2000s. I know everybody but Genghis has seen some of the movies.

I did see 40 Year Old Virgin and a couple of the Spidermans in my defense. :lol

Of those I have only seen 40 year Old Virgin and I don't remember her. But, I have only seen it once. But, more importantly, I don't give a shit who she is. She does, though, apparently.

I mean most people do know her from Modern Family.

But regardless not knowing where you got a name change is pretty retarded. And also pretty rare. I'd say the vast majority of people who filed for a name change know exactly where they did it even if it was 27 years ago. They also had to use that paperwork to go get a new social security card and all that stuff.

And everything she talks about you'd need to get either a passport or a Real ID to fly. Like this is no brainer type stuff.

The reason she got her name changed is the same reason as to why she has a passport. Because she is "rich and famous". She is in a group in this country that meet both of those criteria and in turn make up less than 1% of the population. So, yeah, it's pretty rare.

Wait, what? They don't have to have a quorum to vote? Really?

I looked it up and they do have to have a quorum to vote. It's in the constitution. So, technically that vote is unconstitutional. And, apparently, they do that crap all the time. :picard

I understand what Smitty is saying, of course. But you can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If you prevent good things from happening, in this case good laws from being passed, you aren't helping. Especially when the other side always comes together and passes whatever they want when they're in power.
One Senator out of 55 when you have the majority isn’t enough to hold things back. There are a bunch of other phonies who are way bigger problems.

Yep. And having principles is good and all, but as a Republican US Senator you should be following the America First philosophy that Trump has instilled and I want. That means you may have to bend on some of your principles for the good of the country. Because like it or not, America comes before even your precious principles.
What are we talking about exactly? I would say adhering to fiscal responsibility, stopping foreign wars, cutting taxes etc is putting America first.
