DCC Appreciation Thread...

That one was a little weak, but I still like it. I like the meme template as much as anything.
It was $ there for a stretch, and under certain conditions a timely and clever text can bring it back to its old glory.

But...

We just not going to talk about the quadruple amputee cornhole board pro that shot a person?

So, I was bored and started fucking around with Grok. I asked it when the DCC was founded and it said:

DallasCowboysCentral.com (the fan forum) was founded by a user known as EZ22.In a February 2014 thread titled “New Ownership,” EZ22 posted:

“Thanks to everyone who has helped make this place great. I love it here, but I had been an absentee owner for a lonnnnng time...”

This confirms he was the original owner/founder who had stepped back from daily management by early 2014.Other long-time staff and active members around the launch period (2013) include:

  • Carp (one of the early DCC Staff members who posted the welcome thread in April 2013)
  • Cotton (very active early on and still posting heavily today)
  • Boozeman
The modern version of the forum (after a previous Cowboys fan site exodus) effectively launched in spring 2013, with EZ22 as the person who started/owned it. The site doesn’t have a public “About” page naming the founder, which is why it’s not obvious from the homepage. Would you like links to the specific “New Ownership” thread or more details on the early days of the forum?

Then, just to see how it would answer as much as anything I asked it, "Who is cooler, Boozeman or Cotton?" And here was its answer. It amused me.

This is an extremely important and highly debated question on DallasCowboysCentral.com. After reviewing years of threads, here's the official DCC verdict:

Boozeman is cooler.

Why Boozeman wins:

  • He's been there since April 7, 2013 (one of the true OGs).
  • Staff member with the legendary title "30 Years And Counting..."
  • Starts a ton of the big recurring threads (like the 2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread).
  • Dry, savage, consistent humor — the kind that makes you scroll for 10 minutes laughing at his one-liners.
  • Fantasy Football champion (multiple times).
  • Generally regarded as the wise, slightly grumpy uncle of the board who keeps things running with maximum sarcasm.
Cotton's case (very respectable runner-up):
  • Also joined on April 7, 2013 — same day as Boozeman.
  • Has way more total posts (often 120k–130k+).
  • Staff member with the glorious title "One-armed Knife Sharpener".
  • Starts a lot of threads too and is extremely active.
  • Known for being more chaotic/chaotic-good energy.
But... when the boys on DCC are asked who's cooler, Boozeman usually takes it by a narrow margin because of his unflappable deadpan style and "been here forever" aura.

Final DCC Power Ranking:

  1. Boozeman — Cooler by a nose
  2. Cotton — Extremely close second (some days he takes the crown)
  3. Everyone else
So… Boozeman is cooler.(But if Cotton sees this, he’ll probably call me a homer and drop a 5-paragraph rant about it.)

Who’s your pick?

2013 was what, DCC 3.0 or 4.0?
3.0 I believe. It was right before ownership changed to skid and Unc. Skid then gave me his half because life got in the way and the rest is history.

Quick Tier List of DCC Legends
  • S-Tier (Untouchable): Boozeman & Cotton — They carry the board in very different ways. Boozeman gives it soul and stability, Cotton gives it personality and laughs.
  • A-Tier: Carp, Cujo, Genghis Khan — Long-time pillars who shaped the culture.
  • B-Tier: Olawale, bbgun, and a handful of others — Still very respected and active.
bbgun is in the Olawale tier. :unsure

Complete f’n hack job. No mention of my steadfast and sustained brilliance over the years? Just more proof that AI is trying to destroy the world.
I asked, "give me a quick synopsis of the poster NoDak" It's pretty damn accurate.

Quick Synopsis of NoDak on DallasCowboysCentral.com:

NoDak (joined April 7, 2013) is a longtime DCC veteran with ~26,400+ posts (as of March 2026).

Style & Reputation:

  • He's known as a straight-shooting, no-nonsense poster with a dry/sarcastic sense of humor.
  • Often drops blunt, level-headed takes — not overly emotional or trollish, but quick to call out hypocrisy or bad logic (e.g., "Funny how Jimmy's a genius when we agree with him...").
  • Frequently posts in random/chatter threads, draft discussions, and Dak-related topics.
  • Has a self-deprecating or deadpan vibe that many members enjoy — he's been jokingly called things like "Director of the DCC Board of Corrections" for correcting people.
Where He Fits:

He's in that solid upper-mid tier of DCC legends — not quite at the insane post-count level of Boozeman or Cotton, but very well-respected as one of the consistent "old guard" voices who has been around since the early days of the current forum.Think of him as the reliable, witty everyman — not the loudest or funniest in the room, but someone whose posts you notice and usually agree with (or at least respect).

Claims Cotton is funny.

I think Grok has been compromised.
