Unless you've been there, don't be so quick to judge. Drug addiction is a bitch to kick.
. I havent been there but I believe I can safely say that dabbling and eventually getting addicted to drugs is pretty stupid.Unless you've been there, don't be so quick to judge. Drug addiction is a bitch to kick.

No one said getting addicted isn't stupid, but getting away from them isn't exactly easy and people shouldn't judge unless they know what it's like.
I hear what you are saying and I know from personal observation that an addict no longer has a rational mind. I have friends who have lost their children to drug addiction. My point however, is that anyone who thinks they can dabble with it is running a huge risk with their life.
I have seen enough bad things to make the determination that I would never ever try heroin.

This kind of shit usually follows the talented actors. And meanwhile Vin Diesel is completely drug free and healthy.
Should have been you, Vin Diesel.I agree with the basic premise of your post, but not every heroin user makes a conscious decision while sober to just start. Lots of people get addicted to pain killers have a legit injury that causing them to need it and eventually they keep going up to heavier drugs to get the relief they need. I've known one or two heroin users that ended up that way.I don't know what it's like to be addicted to heroin, but I do know what it's like to not be addicted to heroin and use that lucidity to make the wise decision to not start.
In other words, every heroin addict made a decision to start doing heroin while they were sober and should have known better.
In much the same way, a person who drives drunk put himself in position to drive home drunk while he was sober and should have known better.
I'm not vilifying addicts but I am saying that they are 100% responsible even when they are no longer in control of their actions. And ultimately they were stupid to put themselves in that position in the first place.
