2025 Season | Week 10 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys Bye Week | 11/9/2025

What an enjoyable Sunday without having to worry about the Cowboys defense.

Is there a better owner in the NFL than Robert Kraft? Realizes and owns huge HC hiring fuck up then replaces him the next year with a great one.

We should've hired Vrabel, amongst any number of other candidates who were clearly better than Schottenheimer, but here we are.

Supposedly he was really interested in our opening also.

But on a macro level they've had an extremely weak schedule and are kind of living a charmed life at the moment.

Vrabel was my first choice all along, but Jerry would never hire him. Vrabel would want to actually have control and run the team. And we know that doesn't work here.

Chances Quinn is back here as DC if he gets fired?

I think they'll probably give him another season but their defense is so bad that I wouldn't be shocked, and of course him and Schottenheimer are boys.

Of course I would take him over Eberflus but I don't really think I want him back here.

I think he's a poor man's Wade Phillips -- a guy that is guaranteed to come in and fix your defense but only for 2 or 3 years before it gets figured out again and you're forced to move on.

And like Wade Phillips, his defenses are flashy. They get lots of sacks and turnovers but they don't always do the fundamental things right which is why they have a shelf life.

I want a defense built on being tough in the trenches first that can stop the run and execute well. Those are the ones who have the most long term success....see Dick Lebeau and Bill Belichick.

Cant disagree with this. We just now started addressing the DT position. Dont want to go backwards.

I think Zimmer was a guy like that but he was done with coaching unless he's a HC apparently.

Same here, but certainly it would have been far more challenging to succeed out of the gate here.

I hate having to root for the Eagles.

I hate when teams in our division fire shitty coaches (Daboll).

It's not that I want Philly to win. I just want the highest draft pick possible. :unsure

I look at tonight's game as a win/win, lose/lose.

Something good and bad happens no matter what the result is.
That is exactly, almost word for word how I was explaining my thoughts on the game to a buddy earlier today.

What if both QB's get hurt in the process?

Actually that might be a good thing for the Eagles, so nevermind.
