I feel like Todd Haley did briefly, over Sean Payton. It changed on a yearly basis though. Sometimes Parcells did.

I would bet it's not unheard of.

The bigger problem is why a coach who may be sowing discontent is allowed to remain on board.

Wasn't Callahan originally brought in just to be the OL coach? Then yeah, maybe Garrett did approve his hiring. Then it all went in the shitter when teh Jer insisted on promoting him to OC and play caller.

Callahan is an excellent offensive line coach. If the guy isn't discontent then I'm in no hurry to get him out of here.

Of course the question then becomes are we going to continue with the zone blocking scheme because it is working really well for us but the new guy we hired doesn't really run that type of a scheme.
