If we see an even sharper decline, he's done. He wasn't very good last year even before the injury. Maybe he'd have improved as the season went on, but he played almost half the year.
Given supply and demand, do you think one could drop into the second round, even though that hasn't been a thing of late.

I think people might be underestimating how the lack of weapons affected Dak's performance last year.
I'd be surprised if there was one available in the second who I'd be thrilled about as a potential future franchise QB given how quickly they fly off the board now, but you never know.
A guy you roll the dice on? Maybe, but given how things are now I think you take one in the first or else you're spending a valuable pick on a low proposition.
Yeah if you want a QB you take the one you want, you don't trade down and cross your fingers. Just my opinion.

Listened to the Schotty OTA PC he just had. He's very good with the media, much better than in that tear-filled intro PC which IMO was kind of a disaster.
I get the idea he's sort of patterning himself after Pete Carroll with all the talk about constant competition. Mentioned shooting free throws, playing ping-pong, etc.
Overall he's pretty impressive as a speaker. I can see why guys would like him. My one concern is he seems very intent on the whole "family" thing, that we're all in this together, that he has to know them as people, we scratch each others' backs, etc. I hope he isn't too buddy-buddy with them, because I could see that being a problem if he overdoes it and doesn't make clear that he'll kick some ass when necessary. He talks a lot about not changing who he is from when he was a position coach or OC, but I'm not sure that works as HC.
But maybe that's too old-school and doesn't work with players brought up in a different era, I don't know. I think one thing we all liked about Parcells was that he was old school. He might have asked them about their personal lives and talked to them about things outside football, but there was never any doubt that he was the boss. Hope BS can keep that balance.
Schottenheimer is maybe the biggest question mark for the season. We honestly have no idea what his leadership and coaching will be.
I really think he'll be just fine. Will he be some difference-making transcendent coach, no. But I don't think he'll be what holds us back. It'll be the roster plus of course Jerry's wacked out culture.Schottenheimer is maybe the biggest question mark for the season. We honestly have no idea what his leadership and coaching will be.
I hated the hire. But the staff hiring were great. But its a huge question marks. The coaching search was a joke but maybe Schotty is a good coach. No one knows.
Heh.
Bryant thinks that Chubb is better than Williams.
