He's arguably the best CB in the league so I don't think it's terrible, we may just be seeing the beginnings of salaries continuing to explode.

If Parsons would take 40 or anything less per year that should be done ASAP.

Yep, money keeps going up. And the cap has kind of become a joke.

$30 million a year and nearly entirely guaranteed.

Dumb whether he's the best CB in the league or not.

I mean I tend to agree. Even the best corner in the NFL can really only cancel out one player on offense. They just don't have a singularly big enough impact to justify it.

And I know it's sort of the old corner vs pass rusher debate. But ultimately corners aren't as valuable as pass rushers for that very reason. You need a good entire secondary, not one stud player. Ultimately it's sort of a reflection of a great Olineman. Yes you want them, but that one single Olineman is only blocking one guy on a play (Unless you're Larry Allen).

OT, but are those not the ugliest unis ever? Their regular ones are bad enough, but "H-town" in fake Oilers blue? And that pic happens to have the NFL candy canes, too. :doh

I saw that H-Town stupidity on the Rockets unis the other night. Painted big on their floor, too. Looks second rate D League.
"Nike, doing its best to make the NFL look like the XFL since the 2000s." (Or whenever it was.)

I guess this makes the Raiders sit out QB for this draft.

I would be pissed if I were a Raiders fan.

I guess they've been so bad for long though, decent play and relevance is good enough for now.

I guess when you're an NFL coach trying to keep his job relevance is the most important thing.
