Yea and I'd go a step further and say some of the BS Jerry has been spewing as of late is meant to soften up the fan base to keeping McCarthy, like the stuff about "getting over their skis" with the young OL.

To be fair the Rams have hit on an inordinate number of mid round picks over the last two years.l to replenish their roster. I also don't think they're as good as their record, they barely beat the Jets and Cardinals the last two weeks and look more like a 9-10 win team than a 11-12 win team.
 
Anyone else want to know what happened to the Jones boys? Jerry was always stupid, but he wasn't cheap. Now Cheap Son is setting us up for another Dollar Tree offseason.

What changed? Is it just as simple as Stephen has more say now and he's naturally cheaper than Deddy or is there more to it?

I don't think there is anything more to it. That cheap bastard has the loudest voice in the room.

I think McClay is probably complicit as well, he goes along with the overall organizational strategy because it guarantees him a pseudo-GM role for life.

I wondered if Jerry has been passed enough by these even-richer owners like Stan Kroenke and the Wal-Mart people with the Broncos that he felt like he should spend less on the team, but I checked it and he's still in the top 6-7 or so and close enough to the ones just ahead of him.

People like the 105.3 hosts need to call out Cheap Son when he keeps saying like he does in this clip that oh, we just can't afford to "push it out."

They probably noticed that whether they spend a lot or a little, they were still making money.

More like Dollar General. Throw hints that there may be something great in all those boxes lying around, but then do nothing about it.

They made him a multimillionaire with limited responsibility and zero accountability. Why would anyone leave that gig?

It's Stephen. The guy is clueless about the players on the roster and he is cheap as fuck. I honestly don't think Jerry is nearly as invested in the teams success as he used to be. He just sits back and tries to enjoy his last years. Stephen is looking at this thing like a man who has never actually had to try to earn money. So he wants to keep every penny he can.

How about all along Preston Rd and Legacy Dr. so everyone in Frisco can see it? Hell, put up signs all along the Tollway as well. Plaster that shit all over Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Prosper, etc.
