Ugly as shit but I'm not going to give the guy a hard time over it. If it means having a long career and a higher quality of life in retirement it's worth looking like a dork. It's sad to say but someone like Marion Barber may have had a different life if not for the brutal hits his head took.

They look stupid. That's all I'm gonna say.
 
I seriously doubt that shell is the difference between Barber losing his mind and being a normal person.

But whatever, I'm sure that's the direction the sport will go.

Probably not but I do think CTE is a very real thing. Anyone who played tackle football in highschool has had their bell rung a few times. I can't imagine what it's like in college or the NFL. And over a 20 year span for some of these guys.

I don't know how effective that guardian cap is. But I'm cool letting a player make that personal decision.

Joking aside this is how I stand as well. So what if it looks stupid to us. We dont have to deal with the possibility of CTE the rest of our lives.
