Lol at "pairs well with Mazi."

What does that even mean? As far as I'm concerned, Mazi is a huge nothing until proven otherwise. He'll have to improve drastically to even get to average.

Yea, this organization shows no urgency to do anything, they'd rather sit out FA and "see what they have" early on in camp before doing something.
To me it's Jones Overoptimism again. They think every pick is going to work out. They probably thought Mazi has to be a good player because we picked him. I bet they totally blame Quinn for last year, which to me is crazy.

Zimmer probably finally told them that this guy is making some progress, but there's no way we can count on him.

We do not even need to find a solid one, just one better than Dowdle, which should not be all that hard in the few weeks they have left.

More like we need a better one than Zeke. Dowdle is better than Zeke right now...

I watched a little bit of him last night for fun and what stands out is his movement/lateral agility for his size. He's really good as a looper on twists/stunts and of course the fact that he's 330 or whatever is hugely valuable in our meh DT room.

This is the move I absolutely love. I wanted us to go after him in FA, if he's even 90% healthy he's the second best pure edge rusher on our roster.

His last two full seasons played he was tied for 14th in the league in QB hits (2022, and only two behind Parsons that year), and 2nd in the league (2020).

Who knows how healthy he is but he's only 29 and playing under a coach he knows in Guenther. If he can stay healthy I could easily see him going nuclear with a guy like Parsons drawing attention.

Lost: Dorance Armstrong, Dante Fowler, Jonathan Hankins, Neville Gallimore
Added: Marshawn Kneeland, Carl Lawson, Jordan Phillips

I'll take this year's group over last year's even with Williams out for the year, especially since I think the LB's will be way more prominent in the pressure packages. So whereas last year we were completely reliant on the Parsons/Lawrence/Osa/Dorance/Fowler group to get pressure, this year I think we'll see somewhere around 4-6 sacks out of our off-ball LB's with less reliance on the traditional DL/edge rushers.

I hate to say it but the long game in free agency could work out if these two contribute.

Big if since neither guy can stay healthy.

I love these super knowledgeable influencer wannabes posting about how the team knows who Phillips is because we played him last year.

My God, I thought even a lot of casual fans knew who Phillips was whether we played them last year or not. Professionals definitely did. It's not like Buffalo hasn't been one of the better teams in the AFC the last several years.

They're pure morons that barely know what they're looking at.
