I remember that game. We lost in Cleveland after Aikman looked like crap returning after missing a couple of games we won with Garrett and Peete.

We lost at home actually on a Saturday and it was on the last play of the game where Jay Novacek got stopped at the 1.
 


Don't know much about Cunningham but Peters doesn't impress me, the 49ers roster is mostly a function of Shannahan's offensive brilliance and a few shrewd trades that had direct ties to Shannahan (coached Williams in Washington and his dad coached McCaffrey's dad).

I guess all you can do is take a swing at the 2nd in charge of one of the better organizations in the league, but the 49ers have been kinda meh in the draft and it's been papered over by Shannahan making chicken salad out of chicken shit with their OL and QB situation.
 


Thankfully Peters is not a minority, otherwise the NFL would be handing the Niners draft picks.

Would he go someplace that doesn't have a QB, though? I doubt it at this stage of his life.

Even Washington... that's attractive because they will get a QB. But a rookie will be a couple of years away, and even that might be too long.

The Falcons could trade up to get a QB. The Bears could pivot back to Tootie and pile talent up across the roster.

Right. And there was a news report that someone was shooting at the White House.

Bill hasn't been good at judging QBs in the draft. I'd think he would prefer to have a somewhat proven player in his back pocket.

Belichick also has never been at the top of a draft before either. That Mac Jones fiasco does not count.

I mean he can do what he wants but I sure as shit wouldn't hire Bill and let him pick a QB. Especially if you're talking about going up from 8 because you're talking about a lot of picks to move up. Might as well just go to the Redskins, they at least are sitting at pick 2 and as shitty as their QB's are they still may have better QBs than the Falcons.
