Completely agree. People lose sight of how much easier it is for QBs currently.

Aikman being that high back then without the benefit of playing in a west Coast offense was pretty impressive.

So yeah, he'd certainly be north of 70%.

He played in the timing WCO, the Coryell tree derived from Sid Gillman. Lower percentages, but QB's attacked the whole field from the pocket. Garrett put Romo into it and Tony lit shit up.

Troy would have been unbelievable vs these handcuffed defenses that can't touch WR's, rough QB's or hit "defenseless" WRs, and whose best pass rushers rarely get called for holding.

It's amazing frankly and hugely to his credit that Troy was so reserved as he was and never complained about his offense being overly run-balanced with Emmitt when he could have easily made the case for throwing more.
