Looks like it will be a Kyle Orton led Cowboys vs. Philly in week 17. Great. Now Jerry can fool himself into believing that Romo would have won that game and that the status quo is fine going into next season. Assuming they lose to Philly, that is.

Oh well. Sucks, but if this leads to Garrett's ass on the cutting room floor, I'll take it.

I just pray it isn't used as an excuse as to whey we'd keep him.

That's what I'm afraid will come of this. Well, how are we supposed to win if our general is on the sidelines?
 
 
To hell with this upcoming game. They were going to get blasted either way, IMO. I'm concerned about Romo's back long-term at this point. He had off-season back surgery and now more back problems? Shitload of guaranteed money still owed to that guy. He's no spring chicken and this could be the beginning of a real decline if the back problems are chronic.

I'm going to set the over/under for "references to Jason Garrett's 1994 Thanksgiving performance as a reason Orton can lead the Cowboys to victory" in the media at one billion.

I'm just glad they didn't fart around with the decision throughout the entire. Now Orton has time to get his mind right.

If you want to put a positive spin on things, at least the play calling should be more balanced. Also, the Cowboys are more likely to play ball control.

If Orton can play like Kitna did in Garrett's half year, we have a chance to win.

I agree. As long as he doesn't look completely inept and the running game is consistent they have a chance to win.

Need the defense to play out of their mind as well. That's asking for a lot though.
 
I really liked howthe ball came out of Orton's arm against the Saints. I dont think we'll win, but i do like that this shOuld force more run calls
 
Given how much Jones loves him some Romo, you can basically etch it in stone that Garrett gets a pass no matter what happens Sunday night.
