Pluto NFL Channel is playing the Week 3 game vs the Giants last year. Kind of weird to see this wasn't even a year ago and we have Rush at QB, Bohanna playing quite a bit, we just threw a slant to Fehoko of all people, Jason Peters at G, Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis starting, just realizing what a beast Tyler Smith would be, etc.

Defense is pretty much whooping that ass.

And how did we get the two biggest dickhead coaches -- by far -- in our division?

I looked at a few of the early season boxscores last year and the only true DTs we were playing were Osa, Bohanna, Gallimore and Hill. I think we'll be ok with what we have now.

It would be nice to pick up Connor. I get that the Cardinals are in fire sale mode but I don’t see us taking on his contract.

How does that work? Are we stuck taking his contract if he wants to sign with the Cowboys or can they hit him with a lower offer?

I’ve always been a bit confused about all that.

They can renegotiate but what motivation would he have to do that?

I mean they have 4 linebackers when you include Parsons who presumably (hopefully) will play a little bit at the position (and has the ability if needed even more due to injury), plus of course guys like Kearse and whichever other safeties. It'll be more than fine.
 
Traditional off the ball LBs are the next position for obsolescence. With all the emphasis on passing, hybrid safeties will become way more prevalent. For fucking years, this team didn't get it until Quinn.
 


This is a great story, but I am still leery he is 100%. The Joseph trade leaves of thin since Igbinheheehee or whatever his name plays outside.

And yes, it should be funny to you that I am worried about our 2nd string slot corner.

Remember that Mukuamu can handle the slot as well.

I am aware of that.

I dunno. It just seems we have a lot of special contingency plans all over the place, all over the roster.

If things do not click right, it might not end up as good as we think.

I'm kind of expecting that. It's hard for anyone to go 12-5 three years in a row. I expect some kind of bumpiness this year, more than what we've faced lately.

But the good thing is, all that really matters now is the playoffs. I'll take a worse record if they can make some noise there.

If we finish with less than 10 wins this year, I doubt we make the playoffs.

It often is a luck of the schedule draw.

We play the AFC East this year which seems pretty stout.
