I mean he tackles. Not a great tackler. And there are obviously a couple examples of him bitching out on a chance to hit a guy when the ball is in the air. But It's a spectrum. This isn't bianary like gender... He tackles better than Deion for example did.

He made arguably a game-winning tackle on 3rd and short against the Bengals on a little smoke route to I think Higgins.

He's not a great tackler by any means, maybe not even average, but he's not horrendous either. The 49ers game just stands out because he muffed that Kittle play (I think he was trying to throw a shoulder at the ball, he wasn't just avoiding contact) and then dropped a pick later that drive.

Right. Plus, the NFL has become more of a front seven league these days. Revis Island isn't a thing anymore. Although you might like to have top CBs, those second contract dollars might be better allocated elsewhere.
It is what Pissburgh did for years. Really good safety play with great front 7.

Playoff loss to SF comes to mind.

Yeah recency bias has a particular deep pass in that game stuck in many of our heads. Leaves a bad taste in one's mouth when that's the last memory of him on the field.

and the importance of every play in that game magnifies the business decision, to borrow the phrase used to describe Deion's aversion to tackling.

Alright. This shit is getting out of hand. It may be time to troll this guy.

He shouldn't be in the HOF based on how the standards were as of about 5-10 years ago, but at this point it's a free for all with the league putting in their pet cats who made like 3 Pro Bowls, so why not?

I don't personally think he is but if they put someone like Rivers in, Romo should as well.

ROH is the best he can do, but Danny deserves to go in first.

I don't even think he should be in there honestly, but he almost certainly will be so Jerry can continue to try to prop up his tenure as owner.
Exactly. No doubt Jerry puts him in, because he was Jerry's guy. A maracle.

I know the HoF is in Canton, but where is the Hall of Good, but not Good Enough?

I wouldn't have any problem with Romo in the Ring of Honor. He put up good stats, was a top 10 QB in a good era for QBs, and turned the franchise around from the dark days of no playoffs for 5 out of 6 years.

Dak might get in for sentimental reasons as well :picard

He had a clean, blind side shot at Kittle. He could have crushed him. Instead, he took a blatant, chicken-shit dive, swerving at the last second, acting like he was trying to hit the guy but, oh shucks, just missed.

Romo makes it in before Jimmy. It is Jerry we're talking about here.
