So 252 now and will not ever surpass 255 as a player? I'll take that bet.

Not that going over 255 is necessarily a bad or wrong thing. Just saying, he's 23 years old and that's only three pounds.
Yep, as long as he can maintain his speed and stamina, preferably increase his stamina

My concern isn't adding a few pounds, it's putting him at DE full time which I believe will wear him down.

He's not meant to battle tackles 20 times a game against the run.

I mean he gets breathers regardless. It's not smart to play any DE too much because they lose effectiveness.

Ok, so was there a mention, either formal or not, that Parsons is a dedicated DE now? Or was it by default?

One of his tweets. He said he wanted to be full time DE. Doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen

Well, I'll be. It did not seem to be that low.

Yeah and he seemed to slow down last year. I love him rushing the passer but I like him better with two other DE’s and he can be the third ace in the hole that can be used in surprising ways.

This is a compliment: it actually seems limiting to pidgeonhole him as just as pass rushing DE. He’s a guy who can play all over the field. I don’t want him just turning into Jason Taylor.

Yeah, this was written by Chat GPT.

Chat GPT?

No sir.....can't you read?

It was written by The Pakistan Times!

I'm sure Pakistan is full of knowledgeable NFL writers.

He's "swelling"?

Damn, he really can't wait to play DE.

Yep, Parsons can literally rush from anywhere and that is a big part of what makes him so dangerous.
His ability as a blitzer and even occasionally lining up directly over the C/G helped cover for the lack of pass rush from any DT not named Osa last year.

I mean last year like 80% of his snaps were as a DE. It makes sense for him to prepare his body for that type of abuse as opposed to limiting his pass rushing opportunities. Lets face it, on third down when the QB is passing the ball we don't want him dropping into coverage. So yeah, it's not rocket science to say odds are he is going to be coming after the QB. This doesn't limit your ability to move him around at all. It just confirms what we all already knew, which is that he isn't really a LBer. You can still play him at LBer and try to fool the offense by having him drop in coverage. Hell, you can line him up at DE and have him drop off in coverage. That's the fun of Parsons.
